If you already have a relatively clear idea of where you want to go professionally or know which occupational fields are suitable for you – that can be it in science, in science management or in non-academic areas - but need individual support to achieve your goal, this One-to-one mentoring may be the right option for you.

In phases of orientation, it often proves to be helpful to talk to someone who already has several years of professional experience and has had to face various challenges.

The experience and/or knowledge advantage of a mentor can help you work towards your goals and build sustainable professional networks.

Procedure

  • Please directly contact the Graduate Academy if you are interested in a One-to-one mentoring. We will then undertake a brief consultation to clarify your goals and profile.
  • In a next step, you specify your goals and expectations via an internal registration form.
  • The Graduate Academy provides support in finding a suitable mentor for the purpose of initiating a mentoring relationship (without guarantee!); see also the Graduate Academy's cooperation partner network.
  • If necessary, a final meeting takes place with the programme coordinator.

Registration and Costs

Contacting the Graduate Academy by e-mail or telephone is possible at any time. This one-to-one mentoring is free of charge. Postdocs can use the Graduate Academy's own funding line "Contacts, Networks, Career.".
